The plan ofBanque de Franceaiming to reduce fraud related to distance sales has been enabled and can lead to rejection with the 81 - A1 Soft decline.
It intends to limit manual payments (card data entry by the merchant via the Back Office or Web Service) without strong authentication, and as a result refuse some of these payments with the code 81.
Gradually, the payment type will be more and more refused for non-exempted activities. We recommend you to read the distance card payment security plan recommendation ofBanque de France.
